ASCC Federal Rally #39 Inverell 2006

The Sapphire City of Inverell  was chosen as the venue and the rally was organized by the Directors of the Club on behalf of the Queensland Branch.  Several highlights of the rally were the 45km run out to Kings Plains Castle in torrential rain and a tour of the local Inverell Motor Museum.   The castle was built in the early 20th century along the lines of a Scottish residence. The motor museum had over 200 exhibits loaned by the local district’s motoring enthusiasts. Lyel Murrell was a triple trophy winner with awards for Station/Utility Coupe, Best Restoration First Time Presented and People's Choice.
